The death has taken place of Bridget Giannakopoulos (nee Johnston ) in Athens, Greece, aged 86 (formerly Rosbeg, Donegal) on 14th July 2025.

She will be sadly missed by her two sisters, Noeline Furey and Ita Prokos, sisters-in-law Marian, Mena, Maria, and Katina, brothers-in-law Mickey and William, Godson Nick Prokos, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, god children, and extended family and friends.

She is being repatriated back home to Ireland.

Reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Ardara on Saturday 26th July from 3pm to 4.30pm. Departing 4.45pm and travelling via Pier House, Rosbeg to be received into St Conal’s Church, Kilclooney at 5.45 to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will take place at 9.30am, on Sunday 27th July, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

All welcome afterwards at The Dolmen Centre, Kilclooney, for refreshments.

Family flowers only. Donations can be made to St Conal’s Church or Irish Cancer Society, c/o any family member

Bridget’s Funeral Mass will not be streamed live, but will be available on Shovlins Funeral Home Facebook page from 11 o’clock on Monday morning
