A planned strike by driving testers for this Friday has been called off.
Members of the Fórsa trade union reached an agreement with the Road Safety Authority last night.
The agreement includes changes to operating procedures which allow staff to view a proof of insurance before a driver takes a test.
There will also be a plan to give testers access to the Irish Motor Insurance Database, with RSA management committing to make it available within nine months.
