Gardaí have confirmed that a female pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a lorry at Station Roundabout.
Emergency Services were alerted to the incident shortly after 3pm.
The scene is currently preserved.
Traffic restrictions are currently in place; all roads accessing the Roundabout except Pearse Road are closed.
No access to the Roundabout is available from the Shopping Centre; Shopping Centre traffic exiting via Link Road to Port Road.
The only access to the Shopping Centre and Main Street is from Pearse Road.
Port Road is closed from the junction with Joe Bonner Road, with diversions via Joe Bonner and Neil T Blaney Roads.
Ramelton Road is closed from Oatfield Roundabout, with diversions via Ramelton and De Valera Road.
Traffic is requested to avoid the area if possible.
