
The death has occurred of Kathleen Morris, Toabh na Cille, Bath Terrace, Moville.
Peacefully, at Donegal Hospice, Kathleen Morris, beloved mother of Philippa, Stephanie and Gregory. Predeceased by her loving husband, Mervyn (d. 2015) and her dear brother Charles (d. 2021)
Kathleen will be forever remembered by her daughter Philippa, husband Jon, and their sons Joost and Thijs; her daughter Stephanie, her children Charlie and Tara; and her son Gregory, his wife Tara, and their daughters Aoife and Cara. She will also be sadly missed by her brother John, her nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathleen will be remembered for her warmth and strength and for the love and pride she had for her family. She was a much-loved and respected teacher, with a great passion for producing musicals. She also found enjoyment in golf throughout her life and treasured the many friendships it brought. She touched the lives of those who knew her and will be sadly missed by her family, friends, colleagues and former pupils.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital and particularly the wonderful nurses at Donegal Hospice for their care and kindness over the past few weeks and to Kathleen’s dear friends at Taobh na Cille.
Visitors are welcome to pay their respects at Apt. 1 Taobh na Cille, Bath Terrace, Moville (F93 CX84) from 11am until 7pm on Saturday (August 8th), after which we respectfully request family only.
Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday (August 9th) at 10am at St. Pius X Church, Moville, followed by interment in the Morris family plot, St. Columba’s, Drung.
