A major cross-border musical theatre initiative is set to bring performers and communities across Buncrana and Derry together.
The Inish Theatre Group alongside the Londonderry Musical Society have received funding from both PEACEPLUS and Pobal to deliver a 10 week programme culminating in a final performance in Derry’s Millenium Forum next year.
The programme aims to build cross-border relationships between children, young people and adult performers alongside developing news skills and building confidence.
Adrian McMyler, Joint Project Coordinator and Member of the Inish Theatre group says it is positive that the initiative was awarded funding, especially since similar projects have struggled for recognition in the past:
