Cockhill Celtic rounded off their FAI National League Group 1 campaign with a 3-2 defeat against Mervue United at the Charlie O’Donnell Sports Grounds.
Lewis Waweru put the visitors ahead after just ten minutes but the Inishowen club were back on level terms five minutes later when defender Lee McColgan was successful from the penalty spot.
However, Jack Naylor put the Galway side in the 76th minute and then in a dramatic finish Cockhill must have thought they had salvaged a draw when P. Lewis equalised in the 91st minute, but Mervue responded with Charlie Jones Concannon netting seven minutes into stoppage time.
This result means that Cockhill finish bottom of their group, having failed to win any game, and drawing two.
