Roy Keane has resigned as assistant manager at Aston Villa after less than 6 months at the club.
In a statement, Keane says combining assistant roles with the Republic of Ireland and Villa had become too much for him.
The Corkman says his situation wasn’t fair to either Villa or Ireland, so he has decided to step down.
The club has already totally refuted rumours of a bust-up between Keane and a senior player at training yesterday and former Villa midfielder and club ambassador, Ian Taylor says that the assistant manager was popular within the club…..
