As a Letterkenny man born and reared I am proud of my home town and I’m the manager of Highland Bakery. We deliver bread to outlets all over Donegal and down into the west, to Glaway, Dublin, Kildare, Monaghan and Cavan.
As Mayor of the Letterkenny and Milford Districts since last June, I’ve attended many events and gatherings and have seen at first hand how many small community projects are doing so much good work that makes Donegal a better place for all of us.
As an elected Member I am proud of the role of Councillors in Letterkenny play in promoting and funding so many projects to improve facilities and to make our town a more attractive place to live, to shop, to work and for education.
Serving the Letterkenny Area:
The Town’s infrastructure for water and waste water is under pressure and that must be addressed if growth is to be achieved. There are many fine facilities: a new 100 bed nursing unit is welcome as is the planning permission for the ATA Sports Complex. It is a great plan and will enhance the lives of students at the university and the wider urban area.
Outside of Letterkenny Town, I represent Newmills, Dooballagh, Raan, Lisjack, Breenagh, Churchill. Legnahoorey, Glenmaquinn, The Woodlands: Manor up to Ballinalecky Crossroads: Ballylawn, Ballylennon up the boundary to South Inishowen.
I am fighting for all of you across this urban and rural area and every issue you raise with me is treated equally.
With your support on June 7th , I hope to continue fighting for a better deal for everyone in the Letterkenny and Milford Municipal District.
Family Life:
I am married to Lorraine and we live in the heart of Letterkenny. The Council work occupies much of my time and I’m also a member of the Joint Policing Committee.
