Pearse Doherty
Pearse lives in Gaoth Dobhair with his wife Róisín and four sons. He is Sinn Féin’s Deputy Dáil Leader, Finance Spokesperson and TD for Donegal since the 2010 by-election. Passionate and tireless, Pearse has been Donegal’s voice in the Dáil, consistently challenging the
government on the many issues facing the county. He has also led the charge in taking on the insurance industry and tackling the cost-of-living crisis.
Pearse is a director and one of the founders of Sult music festival. The non-profit community festival located in the Donegal Gaeltacht attracts thousands of attendees on an annual basis. A native Irish speaker, Pearse is a keen promoter of the Irish language and the development of Gaeltacht regions.
In Government, Sinn Féin’s priorities will be:
– Deliver 100% redress for those with defective block homes
– Reverse the neglect of Letterkenny University Hospital
– Invest in roads, rail and infrastructure to address regional imbalance
– Continue to protect our Community Hospitals and ensure everyone has access to a GP so as
vital services stay in our communities
– Provide significant investment to Gaeltacht regions to ensure that communities are
supported to address the falling number of Irish speakers
– Support our children and adults with disabilities
– Introduce a new Child and Youth Mental Health Service to address the crisis in youth mental
health in the county
– Protect the culture and way of life in rural and island communities
– Invest in our fishing and farming communities
– Invest in youth services in Donegal to support families and local communities

Noel Jordan
Noel Jordan is a native of the parish of Inver, residing in Mountcharles with his wife and their two
children. Noel has been on Donegal County Council for ten years and has held a number of important roles
during that time. Hardworking and resourceful, he has successfully worked with the local community, sporting, church, farming and fishing groups in sourcing funding and infrastructure in these sectors over the years.

Pádraig Mac Lochlainn
Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has proudly and passionately represented the people of Donegal for many years, locally and nationally. He lives in Buncrana with his wife Sinéad and he has two adult sons. Pádraig is the Sinn Féin Chief Whip and Spokesperson on Fisheries and the Marine. Prior to being elected to the Dáil in February 2011, he had served for many years on Donegal County Council and Buncrana Town Council. He twice served as Mayor of Buncrana in 2005/2006 and 2010/2011 and has served once as Deputy Mayor of Donegal 2010/2011. He was a community activist and campaigner, locally and nationally before entering elected politics.
