Junior HSEQ Officer

Dorrian Construction are recruiting a Junior HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) Officer for a permanent position based in Letterkenny. Desirable candidates must be detail-oriented, organised, and committed to maintaining high safety standards, with strong communication skills and relevant health & safety qualifications.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assist with organising training sessions, preparing required documentation, and ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and filed.
• Maintain, update and internally audit ISO Management Systems (9001, 14001, 45001) as required.
• Conduct regular site QHSE audits and risk assessments, document findings, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in delivering Health & Safety inductions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation and records.
• Work effectively under the guidance of consultant as required and the wider management team.
• Promote and support a strong culture of safety across all sites.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Hold a relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Demonstrate proven ability to conduct thorough investigations, audits, and inspections, and compile clear, detailed reports with appropriate recommendations.
• Knowledge of the three ISO standards and Safe T Cert would be desirable but not essential.
• Possess excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Display a positive, motivated attitude with strong organisational and time-management skills.
