Job Description
Location: Office Based – Main Letterkenny Base with possible SATU location as required
Hours: 16.5 hrs per week
Salary: €19,665.36 p.a. pro rata
Annual Leave: 5 weeks p.a plus pro rata gift hours over Christmas and Bank Holidays dependent on agreed days worked with management. All leaves are allocated pro rata dependent on start date.

and physical wellbeing, and raising future aspirations. We provide independent, free and confidential services in an environment where survivors can receive trauma-informed, specialist support from our experienced and friendly team of staff and volunteers.
Job Description
Reports to: Manager, Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre
Responsibilities to include:
- The recruitment and selection of all volunteers, training of volunteers
- Ongoing training and support of all volunteers.
- Attend and provide Psychological support to clients in SATU during their contracted hours.
- Management of the volunteer rota for SATU call out.
- Provide follow up/check in calls to SATU patients if requested.
- Back-up support and debrief of volunteers by phone and in person.
- Individual meeting and supervision of volunteers
- Management of data collection in relation to DSARCC SATU service and transfer to RCI /own database.
- Preparation of monthly report for centre manager and SATU monthly meetings
- Attend monthly meetings, supervision and line management.
- Attend SATU liaison meetings when required.
- Liaise with SATU forensic examiners and administrator.
- Deliver information about the service to 2nd and 3rd level students.
- Assist in fundraising and PR activities.
- Assist in reception if required.
Other duties and tasks as may emerge in any future development and expansion of the service and which are relevant to the work of the centre. Any and all such work as is reasonable from time to time for DSARCC to require the employee to perform.
Personnel Specification
Essential Criteria
- Must be familiar with RCI (Rape Crisis Ireland) guidelines and ethos.
- Must have working knowledge of the law regarding sexual violence
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of the Rape Crisis movement and issues experienced by survivors of sexual violence.
- Must have experience of staff/volunteer, mentoring/training/supervision (minimum 1yr).
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with vulnerable people
- Must have experience of adhering to professional boundaries and maintaining confidentiality.
- Must be able to demonstrate self-care in the aftermath of dealing with trauma.
- Must have Leaving Certificate Level or equivalent and or Health and Social Care, Mental Health training.
- Must be flexible and able to work out of office hours.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Must have excellent communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as work independently.
- Must have computer and telephone skills.
- Must be fully Garda Vetted and have Garda clearance
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working as part of a SATU response team (minimum 1yr)
- Completed RCI/Rape Crisis SATU psychological support training.
- Completed RCI Legal and court accompaniment training.
- 3rd Level education.
Note: Garda Vetting is required (of the successful candidates) for all positions.
