The peaceful death has taken place on Saturday February 21st, 2026, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Donegal Hospice, of John Hegarty, Lisnaneese, Letterkenny, F92 K5C2.
Predeceased by his parents James and Martha, brothers Pat and Fr James and sisters Kathleen Gallagher (Derry), Mary Crossley (Lancashire) and Rosaleen Conaghan (Rathdonnell).
Sadly missed by his wife Frances, sons Seamus (Joanne) and Paul, daughters Marie and Marguerite (Damien), his beloved grandchildren Ryan, Aimee, Aoibhinn, Dáithí and Cillian, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at his home today, Sunday February 22nd, from 4pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Monday February 23rd, from 11am until 10pm.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday February 24th at 11am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Gortlee, Letterkenny.
Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
