The peaceful death has taken place in his 106th year of John Hegarty; Meenalargan, Glenties and formerly Meenawannia.
Predeceased by his wife, Bridget.
John will be sadly missed by his daughter Eilish, sons John and Christy, Glenties and Laurence, Ballybofey, son in law, Thomas, daughters in law Paula, Una and Ann, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at Shovlin Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara this evening, Tuesday from 7pm with removal at 8pm going to his daughter, Eilish Gildea’s residence, Stranalough, Glenties, F94 X406.
John’s Funeral will take place on Friday 4th August in St Conal’s Church, Glenties with Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the local cemetery.
