John (Jack) Stockton, Carrowmenagh, Donegal, formerly of Padiham, Lancashire, England

The death has occurred of John (Jack) Stockton (Carrowmenagh, Donegal and formerly of Padiham, Lancashire, England) – December 9th 2025 peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, while surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Stockton (née McLaughlin) and much-loved father of Joe and Anne.
Sadly missed and remembered by his son Joe and daughter Anne, daughter-in-law Fionnuala, son-in-law Pat, his adored grandchildren Emma, Laura, Jack, David, Peter and Christopher, sisters-in-law Lily, Nuala and Ray, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family and friends.

Jack will repose at JP Ward & Sons Funeral Home, Sandyford Village, Dublin (D18 C8P7) on Thursday evening (Dec 11 th) from 5pm to 6pm.
Jack’s remains will arrive at the Muff border at approx 4.30pm on Friday (December 12th) to continue to the family home in Carrowmenagh (F93 A6Y3). Reposing at his home from 6pm to 10pm, with the house private thereafter and on the morning of the funeral.
Funeral cortege will depart the family home at 10:30 am on Saturday morning (December 13th) for 11am Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Ballinacrae followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Joe and Anne would like to take this opportunity to thank all of Jack’s carers, the staff of the Belmont Nursing Home and the staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital for all
the wonderful care they gave to their father during his time with them.
