The death has taken place at Hillcrest Nursing Home on Tuesday 16th July 2024 of May Doherty, neé Gallagher, ‘Bellvue’, Convent Road, Letterkenny, F92 E5W5 and formerly from Swinford, Co. Mayo.
Deeply missed by her loving daughters Patricia and Assumpta, sons John, Bernard and Diarmuid, sons-in-law Stephen and Patsy, daughters-in-law Dolie and Deborah, grandchildren and great-grandchild, brother Tommy (America), sisters Annie (Swinford), Lena (Ballina) and Chris (Dublin), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.
May is predeceased by her husband Barney (2001), daughter-in-law Noreen (2006), brother Sean Gallagher and sister Peggy Rothwell.
Rest in Peace
May’s remains will be reposing at her late residence this afternoon, Tuesday 16th July from 4pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Wednesday 17th July from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.
Funeral from there on Thursday morning 18th July at 10.30am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.
Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
