The death has occurred of Peter J. Timoney, Ballymacool, Letterkenny, peacefully at home after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family and in the compassionate care of hospice staff.
Retired psychiatric nurse, beloved husband of Gorretti and much loved father of John (Marzie), Mark (Maria), Petrina (Mark Grehan), Adele (Lee Evans) and Clíodhna (Paddy Joe Rickard).
Adored grandfather to Clodagh, Anna-Lee, Natalia Rose, Cullen, Seren, Ellie-Mae, Bonnie-Rae and Seán Peadar.
Cherished brother of Kathleen Higgins, Angela Gibbons, Anastasia Bagnall, Carmel Collins and Christina Timoney.
Peter is predeceased by his parents John and Anna Maria, sisters Veronica, Maria, Josephine, Gertrude and Helena and his brother Leonard.
Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Peter’s remains will be reposing at his late residence in Ballymacool (F92 VOT2) on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th January from 12 noon with Rosary both nights at 9pm.
There will be a shuttle bus in operation from O’Donnell Park from 12 noon until 10pm.
Funeral from there on Wednesday 28th January at 10.15am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.
