A Donegal County Councillor has slammed Customs and Excise for operating a checkpoint in Burnfoot this morning delaying traffice by up to 40 minutes.
Councillor Padraig McLoughlinn says the checkpoint was nonsensical and counter productive.
He says the majority of those stuck in the resulting tailbacks were law abiding and those that who weren’t could have easily avoided the checkpoint:
