There was a stand-off between a group of travellers and local residents in Ballyshannon today.
It’s believed that the travellers pulled in at the side of a road in the town last night.
When they were challenged by locals, the travellers held a sit down protest and remained by the road side overnight.
Hugh Friel, from the Donegal Travellers Project, told todays Shaun Doherty Show that there is currently no Traveller accomodation in South Donegal:
