The Joint Policing Committee in Donegal says it will opppose any proposed garda station closures in Donegal after Chief Superintendent Terri Mc Ginn confirmed that 14 stations in Donegal are included on a list of stations which may close.
She told a meeting of the committee that a preliminary report has already been carried out, and she is now compiling a more comprehensive review, into which the committee will have an input.
Committee Chair Cllr Patrick Mc Gowan says the review is important, and the JPC will be ensuring that its views are known, and the unique position of Donegal is highlighted………
