MEP calls for Mauritius boycott as DPP defends police investigation

The director of public prosecutions in Mauritius says there may be another investigation into the murder of Michaela McAreavey.
Two hotel workers were acquitted this week of killing her, while she was on honeymoon last January at the Legends Hotel.
The DPP described the verdict on Thursday as “unexpected” – but defended the Mauritian police investigation.
Meanwhile, Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly, a former GAA President has criticised the authorities in Mauritius for how they’ve handled this murder investigation.
He’s calling for a boycott of Mauritius……….
