Pringle accuses government of attacking the most vulnerable

Donegal South west Deputy Thomas Pringle has called on the Government to end what he termed its attack on the vulnerable in the next budget.
Rather than making cuts to public services which so many people rely on, Deputy Pringle told the Dail that the government should instead be increasing the tax take at a time when the poor are becoming poorer while the rich just keep getting richer.
He said the top 10% of the population has almost 14 times more disposable income than the poorest 10%, and there is something profoundly wrong in that.
Deputy Pringle called for guarantees ahead of December’s budget……….


Responding during Leaders’ Questions, Taioseach Enda Kenny wouldn’t comment on the forthcoming budget, but denied last year’s budget targetted the vulnerable……..
