Former Anglo CEO due in court after arrest this morning

Sean Fitzpatrick, the former chief executive of Anglo Irish Bank has been arrested in Dublin this morning as part of an investigation into alleged financial irregularities at a financial institution.
He was detained by Gardai attached to the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement.
It’s part of an ongoing investigation by Gardai from the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation and the ODCE.
Mr Fitzpatrick, who’s in his 60’s, is expected to appear at the Courts of Criminal Justice in Dublin later this morning.
Yesterday, two former directors of Anglo Irish Bank, including Rathmullan born William Mc Ateer of Rathgar,  appeared in court charged with facilitating unlawful loans to buy Anglo shares.
