Extent of Donegal raw sewage problem unique in Europe

A group of scientists who examined Lough Foyle at the weekend say they witnessed gross raw sewage pollution which is being blamed for destroying very rare marine life found in the area.
The scientists from Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada described seeing a brown sludge which in the Lough which is being blamed for killing off seagrass beds.
Seagrass is incredibly rare and supports fish and other plant life.
Scientist Karin Dubsky blames raw sewage being discharged from Moville Pier – speaking on the Shaun Doherty show Ms Dubsky said she saw things she hasn’t seen anywhere in Europe for over ten years:
