Politicians from all parties are expressing sympathy with the family of a 13-year-old girl following a horse-riding accident in Eglinton.
Hannah Jessica Wiley from Artigatvan was taking part in a showjumping event at Eglinton Equestrian Centre when the accident happened on Friday evening.
The incident was referred to the Northern Ireland Health and Safety Executive, with Derry City Council also carrying out an investigation.
Derry Councillor Brenda Stevenson who represents the Eglinton area says this is a tragic accident which has devastated people in rural Derry, especially those who work in the horse-riding centre and the wider equestrian community………..
