Funeral of 24-year-old Donegal fan Andrew Duffy today

The funeral takes place in Termon today of 24 year old Andrew Duffy, the Donegal supporter who drowned after falling into a cana; at Phibsboro in Dublin on Sunday night last.
Mr Duffy, a farmer, had been in Dublin for the All Ireland Semi Final, and decided to stay in Dublin with friends for the celebrations.
He was a talented footballer himself, and tributes have been paid this week by the county board and the Termon club.
In a statement issued after his death, Termon GAA club said Andrew Duffy was part of a very successful minor team which won county honours, won reserve player of the year in 2010 and became a regular starter for the senior team this season.
Earlier this year, he won an All Ireland Medal Ireland having played a significant role in Termon winning the All Ireland Junior Gaeltacht title earlier this year. Funeral mass takes place at St Columba’s Church, Termon at 12 noon today.
