Future of Gynecology services to top agenda at hospital meeting today

Donegal Oireachtas members will meet with management at Letterkenny General Hospital today to discuss a number of issues including proposed changes to Gynecology services which could see the current ward close and patients transferred to surgical beds.
This is being considered as part of a strategy to free up staff for the new Emergency Department and medical wing which is due to open next month.
Budgetary issues will also be discussed, with indications this week that further cuts are to be imposed.
