Gynae campaigners reject HSE claims over services

The organisers of a rally in support of the retention of Gynae services in the current form at Letterkenny General have rejected HSE claims that a reorganisation would not reduce the quality of service.
Concerns persist over management plans to close the Gynaecology Ward, transfer services to surgical wards and deploy staff to the new unit which is due to open next month.
The HSE says such a move would not reduce the quality of care.
But Linda Cullen, the organiser of next Saturday’s march in Letterkenny has rejected this:
