Health Minister confirms to Buncrana Council that doctors must have basic English

The Health Minister has written to Buncrana Town Council, confirming that all doctors working in the state should have a basic level of fluency in the English language.
In May of this year, the council backed a motion moved by Cllr Mary Kelly calling for standards to be introduced.
Now, the department has replied saying the Irish Medical Council has a requirement.
