Judge pays tribute to Yvonne and Jim McGuinness on All Ireland success

Jim McGuinness’s wife Yvonne was paid a special tribute in court today(Wed) for her husband’s triumph with Donegal.
Mother of three Ms McGuinness was back at work as a solicitor for the first day after Donegal beat Mayo in the All-Ireland final.
Judge Paul Kelly was at Glenties District Court in Jim McGuinness’s home town.
He said he wanted to congratulate the Donegal team and its management for bringing “great joy and honours” to the county and to Glenties.
He added: “I want to congratulate Ms McGuinness and her husband for the part they both played.”
Judge Kelly said it would be equally remiss of him, since Prosecuting Inspector Dennis Joyce was from Mayo, not  to recall the courageous effort of Mayo in the final.
Meanwhile the Donegal All- Ireland winning team continue their tour of the county today.
The team are scheduled to begin in Termon at one and will be Downings,  Naomh Mícheál, Falcarragh,Gaoth Dobhair, Maomh Muire, Dungloe, Na Rossa and Glenties.
Those awaiting the teams arrival should note that proceedings fell almost 4 hours behind schedule yesterday.
