30 jobs lost in Co Derry as JJB Sports closes

30 jobs have been lost in County Derry after the closure of JJB Sports stores in Derry and Coleraine.
Only three stores, including the branch on the Strand Road in Derry, are staying open after being sold to the Sports Direct company.
Twenty-eight jobs have been saved at the Strand Road branch.
Meanwhile, figures released by the Stormont Assembly show that one in every 10 young people claiming the dole in Northern Ireland are in Derry.
The Foyle area tops the Northern Ireland list with 2,145 aged 16-25 on the dole queue.
Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey says the job losses are a blow to the city, and he said more needs to be done to tackle youth unemployment…
