The Oireachtas Joint Transport Committee has been told that there is an anomoly in Donegal where a bus route leaves Rathmullan in the morning, but doesn;t return there in the evening.
The issue was raised by Deputy Joe Mc Hugh as senior Bus Eireann staff appeared before the committee to answer questions about national and regional routes.
He asked if Bus Eireann would consider serving the area…………
Rory Leahy, North West Regional Manager of Bus Eireann stressed that the current route is not part of the Public Service Order contract, and Bus Eireann has no involvement in it.
However, he said the area could be looked at in the future…………
