A Donegal VEC member says he has still received no response from the County Registrar’s Office regarding his calls for polling clerk positions to be advertised.
Peter Cutliffe says he has written and e-mailed on a number of occasions, but received no reply. Now, with votng in the Children’s Referendum next Saturday, he says it’s probably too late for this poll.
Mr Cutliffe says by not advertising these positions, an opportunity to give young unemployed people some much needed work-experience is being lost, and he’s been fielding telephone calls on the issue since he first raised the issue………..
