The SDLP is to send a peition to the Transport Minister Leo Varadker in support of Malin Head Coastguard Station.
Malin Head Coastguard Station is under threat of closure following publication of the Fisher Report, which recommends a reduction in the number of coastguard stations.
The issue will be discussed at the SDLP party conference this weekend, with East Derry MLA John Dallat saying the Malin Head campaign has the party’s full backing…………
