Three remain in custody following Cork bomb find

Two men and a woman remain in Garda custody in Cork this morning in connection with the discovery of two improvised explosive devices in the city.
Last Monday, a device was discovered under a car at Mervue Lawn in Ballyvolane  – while last July another device was discovered at a house in Kilnap Place, Farranree.
Yesterday, investigating officers arrested a man and a woman in their late 30s in Kells, in Co. Meath. Shortly afterwards, a second man, in his 20s was arrested in Mallow in Co. Cork.
All three are being held at three different Garda Stations in Cork, under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
