Marie Flemming’s partner tells Taoiseach to “get off his arse” and deal with assisted suicide

The Taoiseach is being told to “get off his arse” and deal with the issue of legislating for assisted suicide.
It comes after Enda Kenny rejected a call from Independent TD John Halligan to legislate in restricted circumstances, saying it was not open to him.
Tom Curran – partner of  Donegal native Marie Fleming, who recently lost her Supreme Court case on the issue, was in the Dail to witness the exchange.
He says the Taoiseach is misinformed as the recent court judgment made it clear that it was open to the Oireachtas to amend the law.
