Cllr Peter Mc Laughlin is the new Mayor of Buncrana, ten years after his first term in the chair. Cllr Michelle Bradley will serve as his deputy.
They were unanimously elected at the council’s AGM last evening, with Cllr Mc Laughlin saying the whole council has worked collectively over the past five years, and he wants to see that continue.
The outgoing Mayor Cllr James Gill reflected on what he said was a mainly positive year, but there were he said a few low points, including the ongoing effects of emigration.
