US First Family visit Glendalough

The US First Family have spent their final day in Ireland visiting Glendalough in Co. Wicklow.
Michelle Obama and her two daughters – Malia and Sasha – took a tour of the monastic site and scenic lakes this morning.
There was tight security in place and Glendalough was closed to the public for the duration of the visit.
The three will conclude their visit to Ireland at a private lunch with Bono in Dalkey in South Dublin this afternoon.
Local woman Noreen Callinan got a glimpse of the First Family.
“We saw her real close on the bridge and the two girls coming across. We were delighted to see them and they were walking around there as well. It’s fantastic. There’s great excitement in the place” she said.
