A Letterkenny Town Councillir has questioned the latest CSO statistics which show a significant fall in crime in Donegal.
According to the figures released earlier this week, burglaries, public order offences, assaults, cases of drink driving and damage to property and the environment were all down.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle said it’s easy for Government politicians to welcome statistics which say crime is down, but he says they don’t reflect the reality on the ground:
