Jason Quigley’s fiight for gold at the Elite World Championships to be screened live

Donegal’s Jason Quigley has upgraded his bronze medal to silver with a comprehensive victory in semi finals of the World Championships this morning.
Jason defeated Russia’s Artem Chebotarev winning all three rounds.
The Finn Valley boxer took a standing count in the second but replays indicated that a stumble was not the result of a punch and the judges agreed.
A huge crowd gathered in Finn Valley Centre to cheer on the local fighter.
The win brings Jason’s undefeated streak to 32 and sets up the possibility of gold if he comes through the final on Saturday morning.
