Central Statistics Office figures show there were 19,556 people on the Live Register in Donegal at the end of November, 1,020 down on the same period last year, but 36 up on the previous month.
That represents a year on year reduction of almost 5% in the numbers signing on in the county at the end of November, with Inishowen recording the biggest fall. There were 465 fewer people signing on there last month, down almost 11%.
There were 90 fewer signing on in Ballyshannon, down almost 6%, while Dunfanaghy saw a fall of just over 5%, with 84 less people on the Live Register there.
There were 93 fewer signing on in Dungloe, down just over 4%, while Letterkenny registered a fall of 203, down just over 3%.
Reductions of just over 3% were also recorded in Ballybofey, with 88 less people signing on and in Donegal Town, with a fall of 43.
Killybegs was the only area to record an increase with 46 more people signing on, up just over 4%.
