Letterkenny General staffing crisis to be raised with Health Minister

A Donegal North East Deputy is to raise the overcrowding crisis at Letterkenny General Hospital with the Health Minister.
A spokesperson for the INMO yesterday said that the overcrowding crisis at Letterkenny General Hospital had worsened, with patients being treated on trolleys in corridors at the hospital.
All patients south of the Twin Towns are now being diverted to Sligo, while attempts were made to divert patients from Inishowen to Altnagelvin in Derry, but that’s not been possible because Altnagelvin itself is under pressure and is diverting patients to the Erne and Causeway Hospitals.
Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says it is obvious there is a staffing crisis at Letterkenny General, and James Reilly needs to make the hospital a special case and lift the moratorium:
