Calls are being made for a barrier to be erected on the road into Letterkenny following the car crash which has left a 23-year-old man in a critical condition in hospital.
Darry McDaid has been in hospital since the early hours of Thursday morning when the BMW he was driving crashed into traffic signs and a telephone pole between the Dry Arch and Pole Star roundabouts.
The has been a large number of crashes on the road leading to calls for safety measures to be put in place.
However local businesses have objected to these in past, but Cllr Dessie Larkin says safety must now come first:
