The Tyrone county board has rejected reports that Mark Harte is set to join his father Mickey in the Red Hand management team.
A spokesman insisted that Harte jnr will not be part of the Red Hand backroom team next season.
A GAA website is reporting that Mark Harte was set to take up a role in the set-up, following the departure of assistant manager Tony Donnelly and team trainer Fergal McCann.
“Speculation that Mark Harte will be part of the Tyrone backroom team in 2015 is well wide of the mark. Mark Harte will not be part of the set-up,” said county PRO Eunan Lindsay.
“The backroom team will be unveiled in due time. There’s nothing imminent.”
Mark Harte, who was a member of the Tyrone squad which won the All-Ireland title in 2003, is currently managing top Fermanagh side Roslea, who are defending the county SFC title.
It’s understood that no announcement is expected on the issue of personnel to replace Donnelly and McCann ahead of the October meeting of the county board.
