A Donegal man has admitted performing a sex act on the Dublin to Derry bus.

The court was told that a female passenger who had fallen asleep on the Dublin to Derry bus on June 22 this year raised the alarm after waking up to find 38 year-old Patrick Porter performing a sex act on himself n a seat near her.
The woman told the bus driver what she had seen.
However, at the time Porter, who is from Grange, Inch Island, County Donegal, denied the accusation.
However, police later retrieved CCTV footage from the bus, which a police officer told today’s court showed a ‘clear unobstructed view’ of Porter while the woman lay sleeping a short distance away.
The court was told that Porter had got on the bus at a stop in Monaghan.
He was arrested when the bus arrived in Derry.
However, the officer told the court today that the lady involved did not know at the time if she wanted to make a formal complaint and Porter was released.
However, the woman later made a complaint and he was rearrested.
He again denied the offences of exposing his genitals in public and lewd and disgusting behaviour.
However, when shown the CCTV footage, Porter admitted that he had carried out the offences.
The court was told that he said he had been drinking heavily and had been drinking vodka on the bus.
The police officer said Porter had been convicted of similar offences in the past, including masturbating in a vehicle parked at Magee College in Derry.
District Judge Barney McElholm today described the bus incident as ‘outrageous’.
He said there was a real fear of further offences being committed and remanded Porter in custody until September 25.
