County Council given 271 thousand euro for improvements to social housing

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Alan Kelly T.D.  has  announced the allocation of 271 thousand euro in capital funding to Donegal County Council for improvement works to social houses.
The money is part of an allocation of €23 million capital funding to 31 City and County Councils around the country.
€162,973 will be provided to Donegal County Council for adaptations and extensions to social houses to meet needs of tenants with a disability or to address serious overcrowding.
The Minister also announced that he is allocating a further €109,142 for Donegal to be invested in upgrading the energy efficiency of local authority homes this year.
