Death threats made against a number of Community Safety Partnership workers in Derry have been lifted.
A group calling itself the IRA made the threats against Community Safety Wardens.
The workers had been transferred to other duties, and over the past number of days, council staff, unions, churches and other groups called for the threats to be lifted.
The lifting of the threats follows a meeting at the weekend involving community workers, a number of councillors and figures from the trade union movement.
Mayor Brenda Stephenson has welcomed the breakthrough and thanked all those involved in reaching it.
She said there was a very real fear that the situation would escalate and council services would be compromised…………….
