A Donegal County Cllr has claimed that coastal erosion could have a devastating affect on Donegal airport in the near future.
The airport is situated close to Carrickfinn beach in the Rosses area.
Cllr Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easpaig is to meet with Donegal Co Council next week.
He claims that sand dunes close to the airport runway are continuously being wiped away by erosion, and he says defences need to be put in place:
