A fundraiser is to be held tonight for four elderly siblings who were the victims of a robbery near Clady three weeks ago.
Ethna, Kathleen, James and Sam Spruole were in their rural home on Tullymoan Road when four masked men entered the farmyard.
One of them wrestled one of the brothers to the ground, and then three of the men picked up a grape hoe and entered the house. The intruders got off with a small amount of money.
The idea for the event, to be held in Christie’s Bar, came about following a discussion on Facebook. One of those helping organising the evening is Tommy Forbes:
