Derry Councillor Gary Donnelly to appeal prison sentence on Tuesday

garydonnellyA member of Derry’s new super council who was sentenced to six months in prison in November is due appeal that decision tomorrow.
43 year-old Gary Donnelly of Iniscarn Road, was convicted of criminal damage to the city walls on February 1st 2014.
District Judge Barney McElholm had adjourned sentencing for Donnelly to pay for cleaning the damage but the money has not been paid.
If imprisoned, Donnelly will automatically lose his seat.
