Strabane Courthouse pinpointed for closure

Strabane-court-house1-460x293Strabane Courthouse is set to be closed due to budget cuts at the Department of Justice.
In total 20 courthouses are to be cut to 12 in the North under the proposals set out by Justice Minister David Ford as he wrestles with a £75 million cut to his department’s budget.
Yesterday Northern Ireland’s most senior judge, Lord Chief Justice Sir Declan Morgan, warned that closing these courts would hurt the vulnerable in society.
SDLP candidate for the Westminster elections in West Tyrone, Daniel McCrossan said he isn’t surprised by the closure, and he says more should be done for the Strabane area:
